Hey I wonder if you could help me I'm not sure on some stuff.

1. How long should i live the light on the plant?

2. If I get male plants should I cut it away and when do i do it?

3. If I smoke the male and not the female what does happen?

4. Once it has flowered I wait for a few weeks then its ready to harvest is that when i cut and dry it out?

5. Is it the bud i smoke or the leaves?

I hope you can help me on this I know I must sound stupid but I want to get it right. Thanks. :thumbsup:

3) Males have significantly lower THC you will not be happy with the smoke...Kill it. or use it to make concentrate
4) once you start flowering the wait can be as long as 70 days. i suggest you let it flower properly or it will affect potentcy and taste.
5) you smoke the buds of the plant

SOMEONE TOLD ME TO LIVE THE LIGHT ON FOR 12 HOURS THEN TURN IT OFF FOR 12 HOURS

when you want to start flowering you change lights to 12/12 but they need to veg for awhile first so the buds have a place to grow from

Hi LS69, 1st thing U need to do is READ READ READ READ READ READ , & then when U think U've read it all, READ READ READ READ again..

if U remember our conversation the other day, there are 4 stages to growing smokeable buds & its will take anywhere from 5 to 7 months .from seed to finished product.
1) seedlings , 24 hours of light the first week to 10 days, once U start to get more then 1set of leaves, then U can switch to 18/6 & thats 18 hours of light & 6 hours dark. & that begins stage #2 :

2) Vegging , (18/6 this whole time) this will take about 6 to 8 weeks depending upon the strain of seeds U are using. Once your plants start to alternate the nodes, then U can go to stage 3.

3) Flowering this is when U switch your lamp(s) to a 12/12 schedule. this is also the stage when U will sex your seedlings. & find out how many males & female sU will have. usually takes about 10 to 14 days to find this out.
once U see a male ,, KILL IT remove it from your setup ! KILLL IT,, KILL IT !
this stage of growth will last anywhere from 6 weeks to 13 weeks , again depending upon the strain.

4) when U R ready to chop that bitch down, this is stage 4, drying & curing. this takes about 2 weeks for a good dryout, & another 2 weeks or longer for a curing. the longer the cure the better the taste...

we dont smoke the leaves !

Just make absolutely sure that the room or grow chamber is completely light proof. :thumbsup:
As this is the number one reason that plants will turn male on you and it is extremely heart breaking.
