Super-growing?

Well as many of you know this is my first grow and I been reading up on some techniques to maximise the harvest from my girl. 2 particular ones that caught my eye are the pinching technique and the topping/FIM technique, I was wondering, if both methods done from a very early stage, would it produce alot more bud and is it actually possible, practical and efficient to do this? Lemme know ur thoughts asap cos I'm not sure whether to use the FIM technique or the pinching one and my girl is getting about that age where I need to choose, so one or the other or both?

:thumbsup: well I incorporate both into my growing .. This grow I fimmed and pinched/twisted.

All the plants have produced between 2-6 tops. This will slow and stunt growth for about a week but it doesn't really need to be done more than 1 or 2 times.. The extra weeks of veg is def not going to hurt the yeild department..

personally i top every plant every time.
pinching takes alot of time and is needed to be repeated to get the right results.
when i top, i get at least 6 to 8 main colas each, weighing as much or more as 1.
heres what i do,,,when the plant is still in veg and is about 12 to 18" high, i cut the top most shoot from the plant.
it takes a couple days for the plant to recover from the stress, but then they start growing like mad.

i believe pinching is labor intensive and has to be done just right, on the otherhand topping has to only be done once and the plant has to only deal with one episode of stress.
you have to try each to know what me and mikey are talking about and what best works for you.

eitherway topping triples or more my yeild than without doing it.

I go with the topping me self.. For my strain, the key to a good yield of skunk1 is to top them 2 weeks before flowering. Remember not all strains do good under these conditions. For instance: Big Bud is top dominant. If you were to top a strain like this your yield will be considerably low compared if you just let its top be..

The strain I am growing is called nebula, if any of u got info on that concerning topping/pinching it would be much appareciated if ya could post it here :thumbsup:

I heard of it but never smoked it or grew it.. Im sure somebody has some info and experience with this strain.
