It' s more scary than funny IMO. You too can arrest your friends , and neighbors. Be the most feared snitch on your block. Get discounts at local rstaurants(if you don't mind spit in your food). It's all good, join today..... :ebert:

That's exactly how I saw it too SFC. Raise an army of drones that do your bidding unconditionally. Been done before and we ALL know it works. Many people just have not read their history while those that drive the world have. Scary is right.

Cops are alright...I know some may blast me for this but many of them are decent folks. They protect our community, put their lives on the line regularly.

Where I come from you needed cops and cops saved the day in many situations I personally witnessed.

NO I dont agree with their marijuana policies, not at all... but when it comes to protecting the community from psycopaths like our ex(now dead) neighbor in Georgia they're alright in my book...He shot two of twelve police officers before it was through they took him out after a nearly half an hour shoot out. I watched as this psycho ran from room to room shooting from his back windows and garage with no care about whether there were children around or not. They riddled that mans house with bullets and evacuated everyone from the neighborhood they earned their pay that day. Theyre alright in my book as long as theyre not busting us for cultivation :D

Got nothing against cops myself SD....my point is the 'fear factor' involved in getting people to sign up so they can 'protect their country' thru homeland security. We are currently #1 in the world for incarserating people already....we need more cops? I think a change in the way we handle society would eliminate the need for so many 'cops'. But that's the plan now isn't it? Get the people to snitch on each other so the ruling class don't have to watch so closely...we do it ourselves. it truely sickens me. Why in the world do we need so many COPS? We don't, but the way our governing body operates we have become targets.....take them out and we are no longer targets. More cops is NOT the answer here. Cops have their job to do which I am all for...now if our elected leaders would just do theirs everything would work out in the wash.

Hey now you are getting it, The U.S government cannot control you, unless you are a criminal. By making alot of laws they will be able to control the population! Probation and parole are 2 ways to do that. Right now only sex offender are required to register, I am willing to bet that sooner or later that will spread to other types of crimes as well. I do believe that the U.S. maybe headed for darker times. Our government is no longer controlled by the people. The struggle between Prop 215 users and the D.E.A. is just a glimpse of the future, having said that most Cops are pretty cool people. I have been "busted" a dozen times or more with pot. Only once was I arrested, ironically enough the judge did not want to send a deaf man to jail, hurray for me. I got lucky that day. I also ride/drive many miles a year. Many times if you dont give the Officer any crap he will let ya go on a lesser or no fine. I get pulled over about once a month and I only get tickets about once a year. Many times the tickets are dictated by YOUR attitude. I have even had cop who let me off on weed busts show up at my shop later being all cool about it too!

My cousin is a CHP canine cop. He's cool . He's knows myself, and my fathers end of the family burn, and when on the rare occasion he's up here he will burn also. When not in Cali he figures fuck-em. I like cops that, are doing there jobs for the right reasons. If busting people's chops, and fucking up lives crusading is your kick, I don't have any use for you. That doesn't just go for cops, it goes for anyone in a position of power.

Bad thing is the other side to the 'cop' coin. My roomie has a horror story for ya about how he was busted in his own home by some undercover who lives up the road for no other reason than he 'suspected' something illegal was going on here just because of the people he saw hanging around here as he drove by each day. I have a busted up front door frame still to prove it. They busted in my buddies house while he was gone knowing full well they didn't have a search warrent, but that the judge in this county was MORE than willing to provide one later on. They left the place WIDE open for anyone to come rip his stuff off (which they did) and even drove off on his quad which was never seen again. The story goes on......Part of the reason I am getting the place cleaned up around here is because that same cop still lives up the road from me. Fortunately my roomie is no longer tweekin' and has an entirely new set of friends around him. Image says a lot and I like to have people think NOTHING is going on here. Crooked cops DO exist and adding more people to the ranks only allows for more people with 'god complex' to be assholes and harrass people because they are above the law.

I had a buddy that was a county sheriff in Texas. We used to go out shooting together. He had this ugly habit of just showing up at my house while he was out cruising. It's never good to see a cop car in your driveway. But the first time he showed up and I had just finished a bowl, I just about lost it. He could obviously smell it, but fortunately he told me that he could care less. About the time I got used to him showing up....he show up with ANOTHER cop....same panic. Again...no problem. Most cops I met in Texas were friendlier than those I've ever dealt with up north. Still don't trust'em.

See what ya mean Herb. It could get out of hand with the wrong people in power no doubt about it. Some areas could use more policing and some less imo. Have personally had more good experiences with cops then bad. MAX is right, YOUR attitude can dictate the outcome in many situations when it comes to dealing with the police.

Although there was a time they came into our home without a warrant and searched the place. They asked if they could come in to ask a few questions about our son but wouldnt say exactly what it was about, made the mistake of agreeing to it out of concern and wanting some answers. The second I let them in the door they started getting real ugly, then began searching the place. Now that was PURE bullshit imo and they ended up having to restrain me by the time it was all over with it SERIOUSLY pissed me off the way they were treating me in our home after agreeing to cooporate and having commited no crime. They snuck their way in that night and then started acting like real assholes.

Besides that incident most of the dealings Ive had with the police have been a piece of cake. One spotted a bong hidden in the back of our car years ago when we were young and stupid... he just smiled laughed made a witty comment and left it there only wrote out a ticket for speeding didnt even search the car or us after spotting it.
