Hey all, found my way here through a most gracious invitation of the TF1 CEO. Good to see some familiar faces, although I'm still very new to this community. Been partaking of the leaf for roughly 23 years, but scarcity here on the east coast, and a somewhat independent nature have led me to take matters into my own hands. I'm now struggling with my first grow, so I've got a lot of reading to do. Many thanks to all those who've shown kindness thus far.

Awesome, Niko I like your selection. I'm just starting to learn about strains. Can't believe that after 23 years of imbibing I NEVER knew the difference between sativas and indicas till a month ago, I mean dam, that's like not knowing the difference between beer & wine, you know? If I can get a rythm down with this first grow then I'll figure out how to get some better beans. I am absolutely 110% a sativa guy cuz I can't stand to be slowed down by couchlock, but I seem to actually need a little bit of it as it is part of the reason I've smoked for so long (used in a somewhat medicinal way to chill me the **** out). Dreaming of a second grow, guess I'll shoot for some simple hybrids, mayb Northern Lights. Anyway, I'm ramblin on cuz you folks are so nice :-) Shouts to Weedgirl, Dose and all!
On to the weekend chores!

Dude NL is a great strain. You can pull some early for a light or daytime buzz, and let the rest go for when you need to drool on yourself, hehehe. Peace

Well, with an endorsement like that then Northern Lights it will be. Heading to Cali in May, might try to find them then.
Blowstrees and SF you guys were already a tremendous help to me in the hydro section, I think that little fellow is on the way to recovery. Many thanks. Will post a pic/update tomorrow.

not a problem...always here to help.
BTW, you might want to stop calling it a " little fellow" . you want a little female. not a fellow...
hehe...good luck bud.
I think the biggest problem for new growers is watering toooooo much, gotta let the girl dry out 75% than making sure to water so it comes out bottom holes of bucket. O and of coarse over feeding is next, I never start feeding till baby sucker leaves are gone. Then I start out small and work up. Well with all the great teachers I'm sure you'll be fine I was.;) :blazed:

True dat Blowstrees, little girls it is. I was definitely overwatering, think most of them are recovering. Won't start newting until end of second month I'm thinking. That would be 6 weeks in the Miracle gro. Given Miracle's reputation for high chemicals I'll probably start very light and will make sure to flush very well if I make it to end of a bloom ;-)
