Awesome Dude! What timing. I was just about to go to the hardware store to get the parts to make one. But, for the price, you can't beat it. There was a 40% off coupon in the Sunday paper and the craft store is closer than the hardware store. So for $18 + tax, I was able to spend this evening making pucks instead of making the press.
I followed the directions in the post, but added wax paper circles so things would not stick.
I was able to turn this:

Can I do that with the trimmings after harvest, like instead of going the whole bag route? Or does it have to be bag-sifted first to get what Alien has?
Way to go Trees!

Caddo, not sure what you mean when you say "whole bag route." Do you mean bubble-bags? That would work. You don't want to press your trimmings. I used the silk screen method instead of bubble-bags on my trimmings to get the keif (I had a lot of trimmings). Here is a video on how to do the silk screen method:
http://www.420genetics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1760
Just stop half way through the video after he is done sifting the trim. Instead of wrapping it in celophane and putting it in the oven, pour it into the Clay Extruder (now Hash Press) and follow the directions on the link Blowstrees posted above. I heated it up with a hair-dryer instead of an electric heater, though.
Hope that helps.

Excellent! Right on I was talking about bubblebags. I admit to being a little lazy hehe, and the bags are expensive since I'm just a hobbyist really. But this is great man, and that link is awesome. I'm all about the DIY and am adding this to my list of experiments. I've said it before and I'll say it again this site and the peeps here rock.

Yeah, those bubblebags are expensive. That is why I use the silk-screen. Here is where I got mine. I got the 8.5 x 12 on this link. And look, they are on sale:

indeed bubble bags are expensive but worth it to me. the bags will pay for themselves with your first run. first time i did a run, i got bout 16 grams of hash. where i'm at not only could you not find bubble hash, but its worth well over the 250 i paid for my bags...werd?
the silk screen is a dry sift method that is quick and easy. bubble bags take a bit more effort but i peronally think the quality is higher in the bubble bags.
add it to your get list caddo i think you'll dig em.

True dat Trees. I did find a nice set I want for $250. For this schwag I'm gonna pick up one of the silk-screens and give that a shot, then I'll "graduate" to the bag process w/ some genetics :-)
