Wanted to know on where harsh cold climate changes occur (how it effects your crop),, & what abita action can achieve if a bit of thought is outlayed for the outdoor elements.. The harsher our climate becomes, the more we need to prepare for sudden changes, heat, rain, hail + typical strong gusting winds,, which can easily devastate a well established crop..
From tent style constructions to more modern aluminium solid framed grow houses which in turn can be used either with a flow through effect on the warmer days of summer,, or shade cloth canopy to easy the intencity of the real hot stinker days we sometimes get every once & a while.. This method can have sides quickly bolted & un-bolted for solid fixure construction, for when the protection from those harsh elements outside hit, you know you have at least good reliance on your grow house.
Costing for aluminium cab be quite expensive, paneling can be utelized by all sorts of materials also, so its best to check out any outdoor gardening centre for more idea's for your needs & budget.
Indoor growing has come along way & is majorly strong because of our world's changeing weather patterns & climates.. Bit by bit over the next 10 years i plan to do just that outdoors,, & get the spirit high on organicly growing outdoors with whatever it takes to produce that next generation of top notch green house ganja.. Give it my best anyhow folks!
Here is a removeable tent style outdoor house I posted back at DH a few years back, gives ya the idea of thought where i was trouble shooting idea's on to how make a more robust setup,, & not so obvious in between fruit tree's etc..:blazed:

Also for the outdoor experience peops,, How do i go about making sure where to plot my next grow as outdoor acreage is right up my alley..
I have tried before in self watering area's such as edge of soaks or (natural springs that run constantly all year round).. Problem with these gully style setups is when heavy rain is persistent,, soaks usually rise too & therefore wilting of the plants seem to appear quite rapidly. Signs of no oxygen present down in the root system is obvious,, BUT i was wondering if there could be a way around all this without taking my grows too far from this perfect water source,, even PH is right down where it should be..
Carting water out this way would be out of the question as my only alternative i think so far is to arrange a drip feed system up on slightly higher ground,, baring in mind,, the chosen gully seems to have perfect soil & nutrients content (university studies have been undertaken here for lab purposes) as the acreage does turn over commercial organic certified fruit etc.. Higher the ground the poorer ground nutrient content to suit..
If i can only stop rising ground water i would be laughing,, see if i can put together a drip feed system down the track and make my land work for me..

Here's an idea of the gully layout sorta thing,
