If you can avoid it....Dont do it......
In my case I can only dry in my garage but it's way too humid so I dry using the dehydrator, but I would rather not.....

i'll try to get it into his head not to use it he has numerous places to dry and cure in his place he's just impatient:thumbsup:
In the case of mold outbreak, or something like that it is a good thing to have around, but even then you should just get it back on teh fast track to drying. He will regret it if he is just in a hurry. Tell just do a couple buds if he absolutely must try it today, dry the rest right.

I used to dry in my basement, cool dark n humid.
Fan gently blowin, never directly on my buds, just movin the air about.
This meant that it took a long time to dry..............
The overall effect was a nice smooth smoke.....
Of coarse the 1st few buds from a new strain would be micro zapped ( not recommended) just a short cut to a harsh smoke but I could never wait to test a new strain : p

In open cardboard box in open closet, in the dark, gentle fan, finger combed daily for 1 week. Then into brown paper bag, top open, in closet, finger combed daily for a week or until stems snap. Then into jars for the slow cure. Slow and easy means smooooooooooooooooooooooothness.

i agree slower is better its my buddy who's inpatient i trim then hang dry till the stems snap then put it into jars and open and close it daily untill there dryed to the point i like:D i usualy try to cure it at least a month but i pick at it . i usually take a 1/4 oz. of each strain and seal it in bags and put it away so i have a variety of smoke to choose from i have some bud thats been curing over a year but i noticed some strains store longer and keep better than others. some get more potent the longer you cure some hit a point were it starts to degrade

this is one ya gotta see for yourself imo.....i got a cheapo one to whip up beef jerky, but used it for buds and 2 hours on 155F dry air and the buds are crisp....many strains have tasted as good, if not better by getting all that chlorophyl immediately dried up.,? baffles me but i do know potency is not as good as cured bud.....try it tho i recommend, think u be surprised to find how bright green it stays and dank tasting.
i try to find sweet spot in certain strains for taste, so picking at each day, and dehydrate, u can literally taste the differnce as the bud matures...i found the white oh so tastey on the early side, 50-51, then it changes a tad from then on:blaze:

UNLESS YOU AINT GOT ANYTHING ELSE FOR SMOKIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND A DEHYDRATOR.....MY BUDDY(UNNAMED) DONT RECOGNIZE HIS OWN SHIT 1/2 THE TIME I END UP WITH ANY......HE'LL DEHYDRATE IT TO SMOKE RIGHT AWAY.....I'LL SQUIRREL AWAY A 'G' OR SO.....MONTH OR SO LATER, IM BEIN BITCHED AT FOR FINDING KILLA WITHOUT INFORMING HIM :icon_smil

dehumidifier works a little better but dont keep it too close to drying nugs... not as potent...but if you keep it far enough away you can cut drying down to 7days-10days...my nugs taste pretty smooth...but i will be slow drying and curing for a month to see the difference...no microwaving if you are gonna do that just buy brown bud instead...lol
