Hi all,
OK so I just bought a half once a few days ago and the dude that was hooking it up said it was some blueberry. I was stoked. Dude went to go get it and the weed he brought back was crazy. It looked just like all the other hydro bud week get from BC but the smell was very strong and was of SUPER artificially smelling blueberrys. You know like an intense hard candy sort of smell. Most of us have had chronic that smells like jolly ranchers or fruit but it also had the hint to it that lets you know its coming from the bud. With this "blueberry" you couldn't even get the slightest hint of plant smell. Even when you tore up a bud there was no indication in the smell that the smell was coming from any sort of plant.
My question is this: Has anyone that lives in the NW (US), or anywhere for that matter, every bought a bag that smelled as if it was sprayed with a super sweet and artifical candy-like smell. Most of my friends thinks its super good weed but I'm not fooled. I've had weed the smells like bluberry muffins before and a lot of other stanky strains but you can always tell its weed that you're smelling right? With this shit if you were blind folded and a nug was put under your nose you would never be able to tell that it was coming from weed.
Thats fucked up! My guess is that someone running a commercial grow is spraying their entire harvest with some sort of scent to sell it for more$$ and pass it of as dank blueberry!! I once bought a bag of weed that smelled exactly the same in oregon but this one was out of washington. Oh well I guess I'll just pass it along because everyone that smells it wants to by some. A conesuer(sp) could tell that its not the bud thats making the good smell.
