Since i have been here i have figured that most of us either are of working class background or have something to do with the land.

I have found a "miracle" cure for rusty tool's !!!

Brown vinegar !

I have used this stuff to get an engine to turn that was completely rusted, that did take a week tho,but saved me buying a new block ! :D

For tool's depending on how big they are,i usually use an old ice-cream container, put ya rusty tool's in and leave over night. :cool2:

In the morning you will have to give them a bit of a clean, but you will notice an immediate difference.

Another natural cleaner i was told about but have not used is Molasses(sp),apparently it does an even better job at de-rusting,but i think that you would need a guerney to clean the part's once removed from the molasses.

If i have been un-clear in what i have said,um ask q's and i will do my best to answer them for ya's !

WD-40 wasn't worth a squirt of piss when trying to un-seize a three cylinder tractor block !
After a week of soaking and replacing the vinegar,i got the motor to finally turn over. :cool2:

I did use WD-40 at first to try to lubricate the inside of the block by removing the injector's and spraying down the hole, that is what i ended up with!!!!
Different coloured water !
The second pic is about 3 day's into it.After soaking and sopping up the excees vinegar and replacing with fresh stuff. :cool2:
The last pic is what vinegar does for a motor !

My bad too ! :o
Um,after i got the 10 litre's of water out of the sump,it was then that i realised i had a slightly bigger problem than what i had iniatally thought !
The father in law had a "mechanic" work on the tractor, pulled it to piece's,fucked up a lot of component's,starter motor etc, plus they left the manifold uncovered so consequently water filled the block.
So,i tried using a crack bar with a 2 foot extension pipe attached to that, putting about 1/4 of a tonne's worth of pressure on it,and the motor still would not turn !
Took the head off and went;"Oh fucking JOY!!!!!!"
Was looking at having to buy a new block, which i didn't the money for, went to a spare part's place and an older fella told me about the vinegar.
I thought he was genuinely pulling my leg,but i thought i got nothing to lose and everything to gain,so i went for it,didn't realy expect any great result's,but was more than impressed with how it turned out !
I am not a mechanic, have done a basic mechanic's course, like stage 1 or something like that,BUT,ya gotta have the CORRECT manual's and tool's also help when doing shit like this.

Um,as far as soaking ya tool's,wot i meant was if they are rusted completely and u cannot possibly use them, just soak them over-night,then rinse then spray with the WD-40,they wil last forever,i have used this on trimming shear's,old plier's,& side cutter's,nut's and bolt's too,but ya gotta get the oil onto them as soon as possible to stop the rust returning.
Hope that has helped clarify what i was on about ! :D

HG....good info bro......goooooood info
Also If ya have a rusty tool that dont work to well...let it sit oil overnight. Same concept as yours i suppose....yours is actually mo cheap probably. :smokin3:

I heard that coca-cola does wonders too for eatin rust....anyone heard that?

I have heard that, but i think it would be more like the "pure" concentrate that they use b4 processing into Coca-Cola.
Over here, the truck's that deliver the concentrate have to be labelled with a "toxic" warning on them,in case they have an accident, the stuff is like acid.

And u r correct about the vinegar being cheap ! :D
One can of WD-40 $5.95,two bottle's of 2litre's of vinegar,$3.60 !!! :smokin3:
