Hey ya'll : pipe:
I was wondering if these ozone generators are any good at removing smell?
I saw one that says it cycles 10 minutes on, and ten off, deodorizes up to 1000 square feet, it has a 3 year warranty for $80.
I was just curious, never heard of one before now...:D

Hey ya'll,
Just wanted to say, I did some more research and found out ozone can be hazardous if in strong enough concentrations, and inhaled, and it can cause oxidation, corroding any metals and wires.
Don't think I would try it..... might make your ballast go out faster at the least :icon_smil

that sucks about the ozone filter. but its good to know that for future reference. IMO you should look into a carbon filter and a nice exhaust fan. my house reeked before i setup my filter. Im pretty sure you have to match the CFM on the fan to the size of the filter you get. they say at the hydro store that a filter will work for about 18-20 months. but you can always re-pack it with fresh activated carbon. but you have to pack it very tight or the air will flow around it and not thru it. but i have a small filter its 10lb. 5.5in. diameter 18.in tall and says it works best at 94 CFM
i use a dayton exhaust blower 265 CFM the filter works great for my 4x4 area with 25 plants some smell gets by but i think im pushing the air thru the filter to fast. next grow im gonna modify my fan by wiring in a regular dimmer switch for you house to it. i did this to a friends dayton blower im not sure of the CFM but its a big fan very powerful. i did this over a year ago and he loves it he can set his temp by adjusting the exhaust it worked out well it was a good idea it worked great;) :D
i found this its pretty much the same one i got at half the price i shop at a store there kinda pricey. you might have to go bigger depending on the size area your using or how dank your buds smell:icon_smil

this fan will run the filter great and has the power to run a bigger filter like twice the size of the one in the link;) also its half the price compared to the store i bet if you search around the web you can find combination setups with the filter and fan or atleast just the other parts cheaper

Ozone Gens work great, but as stated dont place them close to metals etc as they will oxidize them. If you change the air in your room daily you will not have a problem. If the room stays sealed you might get toxic levels that will harm your plants.
