Cabs & Coco

Here we go again, this time a little different.:rasta2:

Shut the cabs down for a day & pulled em appart. Cleaned the cooltube, bleached the walls, pimped the ventilation a little, cheaked for light leaks, re-sealed & re-painted etc, etc,
Kicked everything back into gear with a new method & goal at hand.

COCO

Man I like this stuff so far and would realy like to try get a feel for it, so here we go.:animbong:
Will be running a perpetual round with 3-4 plants going into flower about every 3-4 weeks. Will be running some GH ferts,at the moment running H3ads 0-6-9 formula from ICmag. This should keep the numbers down a little and the fert scheds easy to manage.

At the moment there is some Serious Ak47 cycling through the cabs. There is two female phenos from a couple beans I popped a while back and the other 8 beans from the pack, recently popped & nearly 1 week out of the coco. Got to love serious seeds, so far 3 for 3 girls in first beans poped and these were all out of coco in under 48hrs.

Above them is a couple more AK cuts in veg. Been getting real ghetto budget with the clones and there still healthy plaus.

Id say these will most likely be veged till sunday week then moved into the flower cab.
In the flower cab, the 4 AK's are looking allright, they been in 12/12 for about a week.

Due to the fact the last jar is near and scary, I decided to throw 5 more slightly smaller/non topped girls in on sunday, (14 days for the others).

At first I was a little hesitent on H3ad's formula as it seemed something was missing. After further reading I decided to just slightly tweek between the micro/bloom given what the girls seem to want and they seem to be coming well alive. Will try get this little coco system down automated and have some fun with some multiple feed times. From what Ive gathered from reading, the best benifit to the coco is when its treated like hydro so........:icon_smil

The coco is a nice substrate for sure. :icon_smil Definately going to have to set the digi timer & pump up as my lazy ass likes automation. Will sit & time some feedings over the weekend and probly try to feed 2-3 times a light cycle. Have been doing a few experiments and such with coco/perlite & coco/hydrotron mixes though Im liking the straight coco for ease at the moment. In the end though, the results will tell the story.
Decided to pull all the girls out tonight for a quick look and took a snap of one that took my eye..

These older girls are about 25days in 12/12 in the pics. They recieved a week veg under cfl, were topped and up potted, another week veg under a 250mh then put into the flower cab. I randomly pinch em up a bit when they look like they might need it.

Now here we have a couple AK's I tried a little different for a comparo. These only had 1 week veg and no topping, just a little stem pinching here and there.

As they are a little offsize for my cab and Id prefer a little better timing & gap between harvest (hopefully harvest half at a time, equally between each other type thing). So these are going to a friend of mine, Bongsnake, to get him on his feet with a new cab grow, so watch out for it, coming soon.

Cheers Lads, its startin to feel about time to get of a decent grow. These cabs have been kicken my ass in terms of size and training for efficienct type patterns. Couple with two batches of hermies in a row, its a great feeling to look at some healthy fattening girls.:icon_smil
These are all serious AK47, the ones in flower are from seeds I poped early last year and have kept moms but run plants outdoors.
The AK was one of my old faves so have run before, years ago. So I guess, I was trying a few new flavors & breeders first. Goes to show, that sometimes experimenting aint realy that worth it, but sometimes, it truely is.
Anyways, the first three beans poped, sexed and were all girls as I only put the first three in to get a boy. Now Im running the AK's as a main staple, I decided to pop the rest of the pack, find best SOG mom and best BUSH style mom, and get a dad. Well, we got plenty of girls to select from for mom selection, unfortunately, no dad?? :lol: sweet, all good. Am rather content with what has been delt.

Whilst away on a hunting trip, the plants got a little carried away and grew into the cool tube. The tube did its job with no burning but as they were stretchy as, I toped em well under half way, Now have plenty clones of each mom to flower out for selection and moms to be chosen.

In the next day or so, my friend Bongsnake will be aquiring some AK's from me to get his cab into gear, and Im a whip him into introducing himself here on 420g.

This weekend has been quite exciting. Managed to score a job in a new location where I realy realy want to move to, so :thumbsup:
To top that, a good friend has kicked his first grow into gear and I was more than happy to get him started.

With me going away & as things may get a little hectic in the cabs in the next few weeks coupled to the fact a friend had a new empty cab? :idea: a few girls were cleaned out then donated. A lovely young sativa lady is now in the lime light. Introducing Miss Mufasa Tutu.

Pretty well how the cab will look for a couple more weeks. The older girls are 6weeks into flower & will get the chop in around 4 more weeks. There is one larger AK47 (going to go in the ground out bush very soon) & the Mufasa. The Mufasa should have room to grown & trained once the bigger AK is outside. A new batch of slightly smaller but well topped & LST'd AK's will be going in next.

I am well known to have a passion for sativas, so am feeling rather privaliged to be able to obtain these seeds. She is from the southern side of the Wild continent Africa, a region called Draksenburg. She is literaly the tightest noded, densest lil sativa I ever grew indoors.
Very soon, we will get to see her in all her glory, under the Aussie sun. Till then, I realy want to taste her :ebert::bonghits:

pretty happy with the swell the girlsa are putting on. They have had a basic hand water schedual with no budding additives, just GH 3part & silica the whole grow, now 2 weeks of plain water.

i have a cut from my buddy its possibly the cherry pheno. out of 20 seeds he popped he got 12 fems and he numbered and cloned them all and i guess #5
has a very different very sweet smell. the rest are more dank smelling there at
5-6 weeks into flower. i just hope it yields like yours there very nice:thumbsup:
