in my tray i run straight PHd water for 2-3 weeks for 8-9 week strains. so weeks 7, 8 and 9 are all just straight water. the plants leaves start to look pretty depleted and sorry looking by the time theyre done, as the plants pull any nutes left in em, but the buds stay nice and smoke nice and clean and thats what matters to me.

14 days minimum. Plain Ph balanced water. This allows the plants to metabolize stored nutrients and convert starches to sugars.
Chemical flush or leaching solutions don't work for shit. Clearex etc. are all a waste of money.

I try for a minimum of 10days, preferably 3 weeks. Though mostly end up runin em around 2weeks due to lazyness/impatience.
Havent tried any of the chemical flushes.
Have tried a little hydrogen poroxide in the flush water with good results in hydro,
but had ugly root problems when trying to flush hydro with ph'd water with molassis in it, (had to try it?).
I have noticed a big difference in 10 days versus 14. 10 days there is still some throat burn, 14 days is smooth as silk. By PH balance, what are you saying? If they are not uptaking nutrients what does it really matter whether it is 5,6, or 7ph?

They are still uptaking nutes (stored) for the first 4-5 days, then its pretty much a starch conversion. Improper PH it may not flush/complete the conversion. I think.:bongdude:
And yeah i tried the chemmy flush stuff a while back and its a rip off pretty much.

I always figured to try keep the roots as healthy as possible, weather in flush or not.
Not to sure on the metabolism & stuff during flush, but I figure the roots like the cirtain ph areas, (even though the sweet spot for nute uptake is not so necessary), so I try to keep em around the 5.5- 6.5 area, (slipping up to 7 sometimes)
I have no personal proof as to any reason I do it, just a theory anyways..
Yea, My Ph maintains in the 6's so no big deal, I was just thinking to myself that it really probably does not matter nearly as much during flush.
I THINK the ph is for the medium, the plant itself maybe ? does not care, nor the roots, my base on this is that soil thrives 6.8 while hydro thrives in 5.5. No idea really though.

I tend to gradually decrease the strength of my nutes during the second to last week of flowering and then during the last 7-5 days I give ph blanced water only.
I see that most of you flush much longer then me but Im using 2 gallon hempy buckets each with its own res. (maybe that makes no difference?)
Anyway the buds taste great and are smooth as can be except when i fill up the bong with too much smoke :animbong:
