Trying a Vaporizer

Hi all,
I got a Vaporizer a while back, i have used it lots of times and really enjoy the Flavour, and smokeless toke. However, i don't get as stoned as smoking it?
I load up the bowl with about a tea spoon full of gear. everything is set right, and am using it correctly. The weed turns to a yellow / brown color when finished.
The other day i smoked some of the used weed from the vaporizer, 3 pipes, and got very stoned. It had no taste or flavour, but still got me stoned?
Glad now i been saving it up, and not throwing it out.
Mabey my vaporizer is not a very good one. Seems to work ok, and does the same thing as most others.
It's one with a glass ball on top. Here's a Pic.

yea thats a cheaper one i have a cheapo myself i like it but i bet the volcano would send you for a ride compared to mine and yours.
i find mine will get to the temp it needs then once i start hitting it the heat goes down and the vapor stops. also try it with less bud i find mine hits allot better with less bud in it.

Yeah, i think it's just the type im using. I dont have a problem with the heat range, even on minimum heat setting, it can still start to smoke, and turn the bud black on the bottom. A lot of the oil vapour seems to stick to the inside of the glass ball.
Iv'e seen the volcano, with the inflateable bags? But the price was outragous, like $800 AU :eek:
I can only imagine, the plastic bags would get very messy and sticky on the inside.

Actually, it's just because THC and the different CBD's all have different critical temperatures. That is, they vaporize at different temps. So you aren't getting the full mix of THC and CBD, like you do when burning it.
I bet WM's experience with the already vaped bud in the pipe made for a body stone, with not much in the cerebral department.
I don't think I have ever gotten as "stoned" using a vaporizer. It's a different kind of high than smoking the same ganja. It's more high, in the head, and far less body to it IMO. Even the cerebral effect is different, but not in a less potent way.

Not sure if you can get all the cbd's to vaporize with the thc like burning it, but maybe try setting your temps higher. Try about 275 degrees F. See if that helps. That's about all I can suggest.

Hey useless, some excellent information. Iv'e only ever run it on minimal heat setting, iv'e never run it on high heat, but will definately give it a go.
The instructions actualy say 280 degrees, but with no indicators on the dial, and no way to measure the temp, i was only guessing. It should be a lot faster to vapourize a bowl on higher heat too, the way i been using it is, it takes me about 20 mins to vape a bowl, i tell ya, im over suckin on that hose after about 10 min.
The flavour is awesome, much better than smoking. I tell when it's finished, by the taste changing to a burnt, smokey taste.

I used to have one of the vapir models, the gun with the digital readout, and was the same as the Voodoo which was the more common version. I actually felt it gave me more of a body high sometimes than the cerebral effect, but in no way was it lacking in that regard either. It luckily came with the bags, so if you threw it in the freezer for like 20min it was like heaven afterward. I never tried the glass ball topped models but I know they were a hare cheaper, not to say any better or worse, just havn't personally tried em. & ya, as far as the Volcano goes, of course the top! I've used it about 5x and every time it seemed to take the cake over the version I have...as far as vapes go, I think the ole saying holds true that "You get what you pay for!" They have some pretty cool hand-held ones out today that if I had the $ for, would def snatch one! How good they are though is a totally different story haha
