food color makes bud purple???

rumors stated that adding purple food color into resouvior and feed it to plants make plants purple? is it even possible? i know bud is bud. it just a color... can neone give me any feed back?

Ive never tried it. Low temps and a good flush are the recipe for purple. The only product Ive ever used to assist in purple is Humboldt County's Own Purple Maxx, it also hardens up the buds and lays on the trich's. If ya give it a try dial your nute's back to 1/3 to 1/2 of normal concentration or you'll burn the shiz out of the crop. All my strains turned purple with Purple Maxx, the ones that turn purple naturally turned almost black. Be careful with extremely dense strains as a side effect is stacking/hardening. Also watch humidity and air circulation as bud rot can occur with dense flowers. Peace, pot and karma. im runnning 2 1k watt( hydro) and strain lavender. temp is mid to high 60's when lights are on. humidity 35-40. but cant seem to get the purple color. ive also tried humboldt purple max and still wasnt able to get the purple hue.

no it will not work do not add any food coloring just a nice dose of nute's: pipe:
and if the genetics have the Purp pheno you would have some purp buds in later flower and you will find out mostly during the flush. with a good 2+week flush till all the leaves are either totally yellow or Purple/Red/Blue colors with yellowing. also lower temps at night also bring out color but if the strain is a normal Green pheno then no matter what you do it will not turn color no matter what you do. its all in the genetics so you either got it or not!!

it just a thought. seeing a few of my peps with the same strain. his has the purple hue and mine dont so im just wondering how he do that..

so when u say at night temp meaning when lights are off? and how do u lower the temp at night? by turning all fan to full blast?

yea at night time. my setup has a fresh air intake pulling cold air from outdoors. so i just leave that fan running at night. but its small so not to get things to cold.

i just drilled a 4 inch hole on my wooden door along with a 4 inch ducting and custume made a 4 inch to 6 inch duct converter and attached it to my blower. hopefully tat will bring more coool air
