Well, a few months back, I was able to hold a guitar pick for the first time in over 5 months due to a car accident less than a year ago.....I started to play like it was going out of style, (I've played in rock bands for 10 yrs, but hadn't for a few years, then the accident) it is amazing to me that I can play with little pain (While playing), since that is all I really deal with on a daily basist.....
Well, the old bass player in the last band I was in, (He had been in another band) came over and we smoked out, well I smoked him out.... :thumbsup: , then I said, look what I can do...and ripped out "Ozzy" Bark at the moon on the guitar.
He acted like, holy shit I can't believe it.....you can play after the hand surgery! Then said "We've got to get you to the stuido with the drummer and see what we can do". So we did just that, and now with a singer we've played with for 5 year's in another band....I know this is confusing , but band life always is.....I've started jamming with them and a new "Heavy Metal/Rock band" is formed...and I'm on the way to playing out on stage again in a few more months of hard work. (Well building up the song list, not really hard work.... :cool2: )
Sad part is, after practice, I'm am fucking beat to hell, but it is more than worth it for me, I consider it a God given second chance to relive my dream of being a great Metal guitarist, that I am (Not to brag) I wish I could just give out the name of the last band I played in, (Sorry leo), we had a orignal cd that went places, and we sold a shit load of em, local air play on several raido stations all over the country no shit.......
