you say the buckets take forever to dry out! thats not to good you want a soil mixture were you can soak them and within a few days its dry and ready for more so the roots get more Oxygen.
maybe there over watered and under or over feed. what kind of soil are you using? i noticed the leaf tips are curling and burnt so they must be getting a good dose of nutes? do you use any Cal-Mag or Magical ect. i use it threw the whole grow i swear by it. stops allot of deficiency's before they take hold for me its a must in my nute line-up. and after the last grow i think i will always use the Bush Master every grow now that stuff works wonders. :blazed:
makes me want to try there "Purple Max" and "Gravity" see if they work just as well :icon_smil

Thanx for the reply dude:thumbsup: I used indoor potting soil mixed with 10% perlite.. They do get a healthy dose of nutes, I give them 2ml per litre bloom, 1ml per litre grow and 1ml per litre liquid compost which is an additive, supposed to improve soil condition and keep ph balanced. I dont use any cal mag or magical. i have the same problem as Mcfarmer, cant get hold of it in our country and shipping costs is about 100$ FOR A 30$ BOTTLE... and i must say my temps gets about 35degrees in my tent during the day and then 20deg at night. grow space limits me to using my attic..

are you using superiour peat moss as potting soil? its a bit loose and after watering it compact very tightly i used it once with not enough perlight and i had the same result slow drying pots drupy leaves etc try mixing a cocobrick and adding more perlight if you insist on using that soil it worked for me also are you still using the wick system? i think that peat moss stuff compacts almost to tightly cutting off oxygen and retaining to much water!
Useless

You have multiple deficiencies going on there. N and K for sure, looks like some Fe issues too.
I personally would check two things right away.
1) PH. Multiple deficiencies like that are usually PH related.
2) Root Rot. Could very well be pythium setting in. You say your medium stays fairly wet, and with room temps hitting 35 C (95 F) there is a very good chance you have pythium. Do you have any way you can check the soil temps during peak heat? And also, might want to just cut/dig out a small piece of root mass from the most effected plants to inspect. (If you can, just lift the whole plant out of the container like you are transplanting it)
That's what I'd be looking at immediately.
Hope that helps.

Yo defcon. when i flush it takes a while for my water to start draining out the bottom..
MCfarmer i'm using normal potting soil but it is alot like the superior peat moss, it also gets lank compact after a few waterings so i just try to loosen the top few inches before each watering.. nope not doing the wick system this time. just strait watering from the top and thats it. definitely going to get some coco coir and more perlite for my next run... oxygen is not getting to my roots.

ph is in the right range.. i also suspect deficiensies, but the leaf tips thats curling up and dying makes me think they get too much nutes.. the soil temps is much hotter than my ambient room temps thats for sure. round about 35-37 degrees:eek:
my guess was pythium setting in because it thrives in high temps and low oxygen levels.. i'll try and take the plant out of her pot and take a pic if i can. All this just because i was skimping on my medium.. damn stupid.
Mcfarmer what do you use for potting medium now? do you use a perlite peatmoss and coco mix?
I was thinking 50/50 perlite coco and then just feed nutes from day 1

best bet is a soiless mix!!! its just Peat, Perilite, and vermiculite its great. :icon_smil

 Dude i'm definitely going that route. Getting my new mix next week soon! Then i'll start to post on my new ventures from start to finish. Going to use bio-bizz nutes with that mix again, but it seems from previous grows that bio bizz shows signs of mg deficiencies about 2 to 3 weeks into flowering.. Got some ghe 3 part nutes aswell that i'm going to test with the soiless mix, but since i cant test the ppm mixing the nutes might be a problem.:animbong::animbong::animbong:

some epsom salts and blackstrap unsulphated mollases seems to help me cause i cant get any cal-mag here give it a bash!
i also get the mg def around week 3 but the salt normally sorts it just don't over do it cause it will make your grow medium to salty!

Hey ther boerkie...
you might also look at adding some H2O2 = Hydrogen Peroxide, this will give some extra oxygen to roots...its cheap stuff that you can get from a chemist/pharmacy.

i use bout a table spoon of mollases per gallon but it has to be unsalphated!
mollases has iron calcium mg and all sorts of goodies in it that the plants like!
H202 ive never used but i believe its just a few drops per gallon!

first of you need the 3% H2O2 anything stronger will cause problems.
some use 1/2 cup to 1 cup per 6 gallons, some use 4tbls. per gallon some use 6tbls, but i would start low... they say 500ppm of the 3% concentrate H2O2

thanks D9. I moved the girls downstairs now so my temps stay between 24deg and 28deg constant. they already look much better! I leached my soil again today with 1/4 strength nutes so hopefully the salt buildup flushed away now.:blaze:

spider mites brother!!!!!!!! fucken hate those things!!! the whit spots are called stiples i think and they from the spider mite scratching the leave and sucking out the juices leaving behind a little spot if not controlled they will take over your plants quickly!
go to a agristore wat ive used and works is ludwihgs spidermite spray for roses its all organic stuff and it works well other wise try ludwhigs garlic and neem mix its also great stuff and organic just makes everything stink of garlic so i wouldn't use it on the buds if they very far along! but try that product it works cuz and is available at almost any nursery in south africa:thumbsup:
it also kills thrips and whiteflys! don't see it as something gone wrong see it as a lesson learnt cause next time u see a little spot or something crawl on your plant you will beable to identify the problem and take necessary measures! hope it helps! good luck with your battle cause thats wat its gonna be!

Haha...McFarmer must be a faster typer than me and posted first.
Spidermites have been my No.1 pest...very hard to get rid off once you got them. I finally found, at a hydro store, a locally made product that just wiped them out for around 6mths then after another spray no problems for the last year or so
but they only sell it in NZ... shame.
