2 sticks unsalted Butter
1 Pot=approx. 3 ounces (use less if using bud)
Directions
Bring 2-3 cups water and butter to boil. Add as many leaves as you can fit in your pan and cover with the butter/water mixture. Continue boiling for about 1 hour. Mash and stir frequently to make sure all THC is extracted from the leaves into the butter. After cooking strain butter from leaf using cheese cloth. Boil a cup of water and use it to rinse out every last drop of butter from the leaves. Be sure to squeeze the leaves well to get all the butter out. Put liquid in fridge (or freezer) to cool. When the butter has solidified pour off water. Butter will keep in fridge or freezer, but keeps best in cooked food!
I would like to add that you can easily use a full pound of butter, and it still will be very potent, especially if you are dealing with a potent strain of MJ. The first time I did it I used two sticks, the second, and subsequent times I have used a full pound. Also I was originally told not to try ,and squeeze out every last drop, because it can make the flavor a little more bitter ,or something, just squezze firm, but not super pressure. One other thing, I also read that you should boil it for three to five hours for maximum potency. Also do not be afraid to throw stems, and other cuttings into the mix, they contain thc too. Enjoy.

I have read the longer you boil the better the product is. And yeah throw all the "useles" stuff in, it's all good for butter. I haven't made any in sometime, but the urge has been hitting me. Peace
I like making it for labor day, or 4th of July type deals. Make a batch of cookies and stone the whole crowd:thumbsup:

Just mad some last night. The way I do it is as follows:
I use the same amount of butter that a perticular recipe calls for. I am making oatmeal cocolate chip cookies, and the recipe calls for a 1/4 pound of butter.
I use about 3/4 a pound of butter. I place the butter into a crock pot and turn it on high. When its melted I add all the trim and what ever shit leaves I have at the time,,,I used about 2 ounces this time. I dont use fan leaves, as I dont think they have any value. After that I then add hot water till I cover the trim. I let it come to a boil and then I cover it and turn it down to low. I let it simmer for as long as I can, usally over night. I have heard that the longer you simmer it the better, and I have heard that it will make the butter bitter to simmer too long. Mine turns out okay for me so why change it. After I let it simmer, I then pour the entire contents into a large strainer that I have lined with silk screen. You could use any fine screen I guess,,,,But I get no leaf material in my butter. I then place the liquid that I have styrained into a juice pitcher and place it in the freezer. In about a few hours I have my butter.
I will take some pics of the finished product and a few pics of the finished cookies.
