Thanks everyone. Just gave the girls a water/feed tonight after a long drought period. I wanted to see how dry I could get the soil with this strain, and what the outcome would be from it. Well....the soil was so dry it actually left 1/4" gap between the soil and the edge of the pots. I could have lifted the rootball out as one piece without any problems if I wanted to. Get this...the plants STILL were not drooping. They looked happy as can be. Guess they really like the drier soil. Friggin buds are way fatter than these past pics by far already. I had to stake each one because they are getting so heavy. Looked like an ugly stick with a 10 lb. bass on the other end damn near. I think this is going to be one of my better batches which makes me VERY happy after the miserable failure last time. I'm seeing at least a couple ozs per plant on the low side this time. Woo HOO!!!!

whats the difference between the 2 pheni?
:pimp:
Sparky
03-31-2005, 11:32 PM
Many differences Goblin. The ML is shorter and wider in girth....a bit less dense than the WW too. The head, smell, and taste is completely different as well. Bit more trichome production on the WW pheno as you will see here real soon as they start to really resin up in the coming weeks, but the ML pheno seems to be a bit more potent. Both are excellent smokes in their own way though and the WW is one of the best doob smokes I've had. Burns very clean and even. Prefer the ML in my glass spoon though.

Thanks Mare. Just doin what i love so much...growin' and takin' pics. Both bring me happiness. :smoke2:
Opened the grow today and found one of the WW phenos had toppled over from too much weight. No matter what I tried it just kept floppin over so I cut the bastard off! hehehe....I need some smoke soon anyway and left the lower buds to fill in a bit. What the hell....ain't gonna hurt nobody. Not a bad haul either. Poor cheap ass scale I have tops out at 100g and this fatty pegged it. :icon_smil

now that is one tight bud! how long did it go before it toppled, or how long till you would of chopped her anyway?
Sparky
04-11-2005, 01:17 PM
Thanks my friend. Makes me happy since I only run a 430W. Two weeks is my projected harvest date Bogart. Not sure how many days these were in but not quite 60 yet. I like to take this strain to 70 days for FULL effect, but doubt I'll notice any ill effects from an early chop. The rest are still going and I most likely will take a bit here and there as the days progress. I really dislike manicuring buds so if i can spread it out that's all good with me. Lil here and there I can handle.

Thanks guys. Just did some trimming on the four tops I've taken so far. All pretty much the same size, but you can see the variances in pheno...top 2 are the WW pheno....bottom two ML pheno. They aren't quite what you got going on Nesta...just 430W's worth. But to put it in perspective.....once these dry we're lookin' at a QP by themselves. :D

You are the master sparky! I could add 2 more 1000 watters and not get buds like that. Great work. Kinda scary to think how big your NL's are gonna get. You may need a bigger room :D

04-16-2005, 12:23 PM
No way Nesta. I am master of the growroom...not the plants. ;) THEY will conform to the master.
Forgot to post these pics that were taken before I cut 4 of their heads off. The one up front has been decappitated already. :p

hows the amnesia smoke?
any new strains on the horizon for the closetcab?
Sparky
04-16-2005, 06:47 PM
Yeah Smot the third round with a strain is the magic round for sure. Just bout the time I get a strain down pat I am bored with it and need to add more to the mix. I have a bolivian skunk, and early girl, a couple White KC's, and 4 NL's starting out now. See what comes out of the mix...I like suprises. :bongdude:
Bloody nice :icon_smil
Those two large phallus symbols you just showed, how long you vege them for? They were from clones?
kindkid
04-16-2005, 09:16 PM
Kiwi might be askin the same question (not sure which the phallus ones are) but how long did you veg the 4 plants that you chopped the tops off of (amnesia phenos)?
Thanks, and everyone already said it but holy shit!!! nice work man. I think all of our goals are to be able to one day grow herb like that!
Sparky
04-16-2005, 09:56 PM
Hell guys...wish I knew how long I vegged for. I grow them to a certain height and don't really keep track of days vegged to be honest. My grow is perpetual so when I have room in flower and vegged plants are the right height they go in. Bout the best I can do for ya. Yes Kiwi they are clones. More behind those waitng to get their turn at the big light too.
Smot...I missed your Q there...the smoke is pretty damn good. :smoke2:

Or joyful agony? Actually, I was starting to drool, but at least I can control it these days, mostly. Don't you love the irridescent glow of fresh pistils? And what a delightful sampler of different flower/bud designs! Attempting to imagine the heady bouquet is making my back teeth ache...
Why I rarely visit the success pics! It's bad enough envying those with probs and issues. When I get to a place I can risk getting starting, I should be able to thumb through all your lovely albums without suffering sever 'Kindgrower's Withdrawals'. That much drooling could lead to dehydration at this time of year.
All I need is a little copse of seedlings on which to lavish my TLC. This vicarious gardening is only a bandaid on the gaping wound where once I loved, then lost. Alas, were it not for these havens of support and interaction, by now I might have withered and faded along with my last grow.
