Default Use for bud with a little rot?

One of my thicky bushy ones (bubblegum, unfortunately) got bud rot in the humid weather, and I'm wondering if there's any way I can use the buds other than smoking. Like, can I make hash or hash oil? Or cook with it? I just hate to waste so much.

No! That is Botritis, no good. Cut it away from the plant completly, and discard. Now the bad news is it will most likely spring back up again in a couple days. Has it been wet, or humid in your area, especially wet, like for days? I have had had to harvest earlier than planned myself because of it too.

Yes, it's been humid the past few weeks, that pattern where it rained a little every day. Then they got drenched by the remnants of Hanna yesterday. One whole plant has it. What a shame. It was the bushiest one by far.

It sucks girl. Like I said , you can try to cut it away and maybe even use a little h2o2 on a rag and disinfect the area. But in my own experience once it starts it comes back. So harvest what is not brown, and get it on the fast track to drying.

You eill have nice green, and white (normal) buds all over the pant, and then you notice a brownish area, usually close to the main stalk. Upon closer inspection you will think it look almost as if the bud is melting. This is not a condition you will normally run into indoors.

The bud doesn't look like it's melting, and it's not slimy and doesn't smell funny. It's just that the calyxes turned a dark color. The hairs are the same color as before-- white with some brownish ones now that they're about ready to chop. At first I assumed they were just turning blue because it's been getting down into the 50s at night, but they're REALLY dark, almost black. The small leaves surrounding the buds are are normal green. So maybe it isn't bud rot? I've had problems uploading pics here, but maybe I can put one up on another site and link to it so you guys can see it. If it is bud rot, would it help to pour some hydrogen peroxide over them and give them a couple of days to dry before chopping?

I doubt it, but you can try it. It sounds like Botritis, if you leave the infected buds on for a few days you will likely see what I am describing, and it will spread. Guaranteed.
