Excellent read.
I have used dissolved brown sugar on the rootzone of my orchids when they are a little sick or undernurished after many months away for work. Always works a treat and I dont know why I never thaught of molasses. Considering there is a sugar mill not 10 mins walk from my place, (I've actually worked a couple seasons there when I was fresh out of school), I might see if can hop over and grab some for a whirl.

i did not see any difference! i got my usual results if there was a change in the soil bacteria good or bad i did not notice it in the growth of the plant.
i used it this grow also just cause i still had some left and so many people swear by it. its not hurting the plants so i just kept the same feeding as last grow. i have been giving it every feeding at 1 tsp per gallon. maybe i should be using more??
i should do a side by side to be totally sure it helps the plants though.

I have been messing around with Molasses. I notice it drops my ph down. I also read that people use the molasses when they do there normal watering with no ferts. My tap watter is like 7.5. If I add 1 teaspoon per gallon it drops it to 6.6. If I use the molasses to adjust my ph I do not have to use vineger or Lemon juice to lower my tap watter. I have watered my plants one time so far and all looks good.
