Default Afghani deathmatch

I started this to contribute to the faqs (germinating seeds). Mods feel free to take the clippings and pictures.

12 Afghani #1 were stashed at my private seedbank.
1 seed was crushed and therefore lost.

11 Afghanis were put in a paper towel, moistened, packed in a freezer bag and went into the germinating compartent of the fishtank (22 - 24 C or ~71 - 75 F).

9 Afghanis cracked within the timeframe of two days. Two couldn't keep up with the pace and were discarded. (They didn't crack the following days either).

9 cracked Afghanis were put in 9 Jiffis (presoaked with a dash of seaweed) and went into my heated propagator on the windowsill.

8 afghanis popped through the Jiffis very fast. One was a bit too late and went in my 24/7 nursery.

8 Afghanis were poking their roots through the jiffis and were put in small square pots with soilless coco mix (that's the critical part).
I could find room for 8 Afghanis in my PC case under a 70 W HPS. That's why I call this deathmatch.
8 Afghanis went straight in 12/12 mode.

A quick update: Now I have to water more often due to the coco. I don't water daily yet. Most of the Afghanis are getting quite lanky - but they did similar under 24/7. Only few have the desired figure. That's why I flowered them all, to sort the stocky plants out very quick.

The coco mix seems to be a bit too rich in (organic) nutes as well for the little ones. They are a bit overfed. I have a Subcool Space Queen F2 in exactly the same mix (and a few others) for testing purposes, that is doing very well in that medium, since it's my first soilless grow after a long time. I'll show a picture of her the next time.
Anyway: I have 12/12 running in my IKEA (where the space queen resides) and the plants in there are going to be harvested in the next couple of weeks till the end of April. I can move some Afghanis there if space is running out. I can always mix soil to the substrate the next time when repotting, if this experiment doesn't go like I expect it to.

Default I'm actually down to 4

I cut the number down to 4 plants, the best looking ones, maybe the males, lol.
Anyway, they're going into 2 L pots the next week I guess. I'm currently sprouting Subs Space Queen and some Ethiopian Highlands x Hill Temple Collective OG Sunshine (aka Brasilian Punch). Since I might do some crosses, I keep only the strongest ones here as well.
