Default Hello another newbe here

I live in the hills of upstate New York and have been growing some back yard stuff for a few years now,I have been able to grow some ok stuff but nothing ever that great,About 2 months ago I decided to try my luck with hydroponics and after much research built this rather good grow box,it has it's own heating and cooling systems that run off lux pro plug in T-stats and they work great,it also has it's own fresh air intake fans as well as filterd exhust fans everything is working great.
I ordered some good THC BOMB seeds and I dont think I got such a great deal there as I ordered 20 seeds (and they where not cheap) and only 6 gremanated and 2 of them dont look like they are going to make it,something I never seen before they started growing upside down, the leaves where in the medium and the roots grew up,so I turned them over, after a week nowthey have not died but have not grown any..

The biggest problem is trying rase my PH levels, with my first batch of sulition the PH leval started at 7.9 useing Technaflora PH up and PH down,I put 5ml of PH down and it was too much it lowerd the leval to 4.4,now here is the problem,I have used at least 20 as much PH up and can only get the leval up to 6.1 at best,,I know my readings are correct I used a electronic test meter and 2 different brands of test strips and they all read about the same, could my PH up be bad or do you really need a lot more PH up to raise PH levals than you need to lower them or has my PH up soulition gone bad???

You don't want the ph higher than 6.1. I let mine float up to just past 6.1-6.3 and immediately drop it down. You want it to hang around 5.8. Ph down it to 5.4 and let it rise to 6.1. the reason it won't go higher than 6.1 is that the buffers in the nutrients are working hard to keep the ph "in the zone"

Flood at 6.1, drop it back down.... If it won't drop... Change the solution and start over...

And don't use test strips, buy a QUALITY PH METER and calibration solution set... Keep the meter in check by calibrating at least every week... Make it a habit, if the readings look out of place... It's probably the meter outta wack!
