so you just slice them off?? how much of them do you cut off more than 50%?? it looks like that in 1 of your pics. how long does it take for the plant to recover from this??

sorry im being a pain in the arse, but if you dont ask

I cut off more, 2/3 - 3/4. Plants don't suffer that much, they're actually recovering the next day, if not they should be fine after 1 - 2 weeks.

Nice baby pics, this is your second attempt, right? It's supposed to get better with each grow. Well done

Default Day 19

ok, so its day 19, and its been an eventful day. we trimmed the roots on all 4 of them, they werent rootbound, but they were close to it. i did as DON advised and removed between 1/2-3/4 of them. they look ok after a few hours, they arent showing any signs of shock.

we were going to begin them on 1/4 strength nutes today, but we are going to wait a few days, until they establish to there new root growth.

pics;
1 roots before
2 first cut
3 trimming around the edges
4 final touches

does this look ok? i hope it doesnt kill them

I supposed you liked to do bonsai moms, but not seedlings. They will be fine in a couple of days I suppose. Should keep the rootsystem quite compact tho.

all 4 have also been topped. my grow bud doesnt see the advantages of LST, or just doesnt like the look of it, but it will give us a good 2 more weeks growth in there.

any way heres a few pics after the root trimming.

pics;
1&2 a good soak after the trim
3&4 from left to right in the PC case
5 group shot in side the PC case

tell me what you think
